Founded in 2023, Oriole Networks is a spin-out from University College London (UCL). During his time there, co-founder Professor George Zervas and his team did much of the research that is the basis for the groundbreaking technology that Oriole Networks is based on. As part of that transition from lab to commercialisation, UCL Business (UCLB) was and is still, an important partner.
UCLB is the commercial arm of UCL. It focuses on translating UCL’s research and innovations into real-world applications, often through partnerships, licensing deals, and the establishment of spinout companies. Every year it produces an impact report to highlight the contribution and benefits of its activities in translating research into practical applications. Oriole Networks is honoured to be included in the 2025 edition.
